Walking Rugby

We’re really excited to be able to offer the opportunity for people living with a stoma in  West Yorkshire, and Greater Manchester the chance to get active through playing Walking Rugby League, thanks to some great partners of ours

Walking Rugby League is a slower paced version of the sport which is accessible to all regardless of age, health and ability. It has various health and fitness benefits and is driven by a strong sense of fun and enjoyment.

The sessions support community cohesion and social inclusion, bringing people together in the community and being able to get together before and after sessions. Walking Rugby League is a non – contact sport and is suitable for both females and males to participate in.

We have teamed up with our Friends at the Batley Sporting Foundation, and Your Trust Rochdale, to offer people living with a stoma, and their friends & family the opportunity to get involved. For more details on classes and contact details please see the flyers below

The sessions are open to anyone in the local communities, and all organisations are aware of the needs of people living with a stoma to access suitable toilet facilities.
