Telephone Befriending Service
Our befriending service offers the opportunity to speak with the same trained volunteer over a series of 8 telephone conversations, providing continuity of support from someone who has lived experience of a stoma. It can be particularly helpful for people adjusting to life with a stoma, building confidence, or simply wanting to talk things through with someone who understands.
Due to high demand, our befriending service is currently operating a waiting list. We’re so pleased that many people are finding value in the support we offer, and we’re working hard to match individuals with the right volunteer befrienders as soon as possible.
