We’re delighted to have launched our new Telephone Befriending Service thanks to funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.
We know that the current situation is proving difficult for many of you. The lockdown restrictions have meant that support groups are no longer able to meet in person, and it’s also much more difficult to meet with friends and family.
This new service aims to support ostomates who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation, by providing you with regular telephone contact with one of our specially trained volunteers (all of whom are ostomates themselves).
If you would like to make an enquiry or request support, please complete the form below or call our freephone (24/7) helpline on 0800 328 4257.
You’ll initially either speak to a member of staff or a volunteer who is living with a stoma and has been fully trained and DBS checked.
Nurses may refer their patients using our form: Stoma Care Nurse Referral Form
