Active Ostomates: at home – Chair Yoga

We’ve been hosting chair yoga through stoma support groups since 2016 and it’s our most popular ‘Active Ostomates’ activity. In 2019 we delivered fifty six sessions throughout the UK to nearly 1200 participants so we’re delighted to be able to offer  both a series of videos you can follow at home, and virtual classes at this time when community activity is not possible.

Virtual Classes

Delivered by Lisa Middleton, we are running an initial set of twelve weekly virtual chair yoga classes via Zoom, which you will be able to take part in in the comfort of your own home.

Classes are suitable for people of all ages and abilities. All you need is a chair that you’re comfortable to sit on!

The first session takes place on Wednesday 19th August from 2pm to 3pm, and then every Wednesday at the same time until November 11th. To sign up please just complete the registration form at the bottom of the page. You’ll then be contacted a couple of days before the first session with details of how to join the classes.

This series of four videos from Lisa Middleton focuses on the following activity:

– Arms & Hands
– Neck & Shoulders
– Hips, Legs & Feet
– Side body & Twists
