Tom Plater – 252 Miles. One Body. Still Moving Forward.

23 March, 2026

In May this year, Tom Plater is taking on one of the toughest endurance challenges: the Cocodona 250 – a 252-mile ultramarathon stretching across the deserts and mountain ranges of Arizona.

As Tom shares in his own words, “Hi, I’m Tom Plater, and in May of this year, I’m taking on the Cocodona Two Fifty, which is a two hundred and fifty-two mile ultramarathon through deserts and mountain ranges in Arizona.”

More Than a Race

The Cocodona 250 isn’t just a test of physical endurance. It’s a battle against sleep deprivation, extreme heat, rugged terrain, and the relentless voice in your head asking you to stop.

Runners face:

  • Vast desert landscapes
  • Steep mountain climbs
  • Technical trails
  • Temperatures that can swing dramatically between day and night
  • Over 250 miles of forward motion

For most people, a marathon is a lifetime achievement. For Tom, this challenge is nearly ten marathons back-to-back – with mountains in between.

Why It Matters

Challenges like this go far beyond personal accomplishment. They become platforms – for awareness, for resilience, for proving what’s possible, and for supporting causes that matter.

Tom isn’t just running for the finish line. He’s running with purpose.

Every mile represents commitment. Every step represents resilience. And every donation fuels the journey.

Support the Journey

Please donate and support Tom’s challenge.

Whether you donate, share, or simply cheer him on, you become part of the 252-mile journey.

Because sometimes the most powerful statement isn’t about speed.

It’s about refusing to stop.

252 miles. One body. Still moving forward.
