New Partnership with Blackpool FC

18 September, 2025

We are delighted to share the news that Blackpool Football Club has teamed up with Colostomy UK in a new partnership aimed at raising awareness and support for people living with a colostomy, urostomy or ileostomy.

New Partnership with Blackpool FC

We are delighted to share the news that we have teamed up with Blackpool Football Club in a new partnership to introduce stoma friendly toilets across the stadium: Blackpool fc.

What the partnership means

  • By joining with us, Blackpool FC will help shine a spotlight on the everyday challenges and triumphs of stoma users.

  • The club will aid in promoting our services — such as our 24-hour Stoma Helpline, support groups, and educational resources — to a wider audience.

  • This collaboration will also help destigmatise living with a stoma and foster greater understanding among football fans, club staff, and the broader community.

Why this matters

Living with a stoma can sometimes feel isolating; many people face physical, emotional, and social hurdles that aren’t always visible. Working with clubs like Blackpool FC helps us:

  • Reach people who may not have heard of us or thought they could connect with our services.

  • Change perceptions: making clear that having a stoma doesn’t define a person’s life or limit what they can do.

  • Encourage inclusion in sports and community activities, ensuring stoma users feel supported and visible.

How you can get involved

  • If you’re a Blackpool FC fan, this is a chance to support your club’s efforts in something meaningful. Spread the word among friends, share their messages on social media, or simply ensure that conversations around stomas are more open.

  • For those living with a stoma, this partnership strengthens the message that you are not alone — help and community are out there.

  • Whether you attend matches, follow online, or are part of local health/community groups, keep an eye out for events, campaigns or matchday initiatives with Colostomy UK and Blackpool FC.

We are very grateful to Blackpool FC for this partnership. Together, we can make a difference: raising awareness, improving support, and promoting dignity for those of us living with colostomies, ileostomies or urostomies.
