Maxyne McGinley: Interim Volunteers Manager
Max has worked across the private, public, and charity sectors in roles ranging from HR recruitment to cabin crew. She first joined Colostomy UK as Volunteers and Community Manager, where she developed a deep passion for the positive impact of volunteering.
When the opportunity arose to return as Interim Volunteer Manager, she jumped at the chance! Max really believes in Colostomy UK and the charity’s values, the way that the team has the charity in their hearts, and how they each strive to deliver its promise to support all people living with a stoma. She lives in Surrey and enjoys cooking, eating, and practicing mindfulness.
In her current role (covering for Ria’s whilst she enjoys maternity leave), Max leads and supports our 60+ strong volunteer network, recruiting, training, and developing volunteers across the UK. She also manages three key team members and serves as the organisation’s Safeguarding Lead, ensuring our volunteer activities remain safe, inclusive, and of the highest standard.
